Google’s Chrome OS revealed — with video! — Engadget.
Google has unveiled a preview of the Chrome OS, its a new operating system that is based on Linux and the Chrome browser. I hear that it will only support netbooks and it wont work with standard hard drives, just SSDs. This all means that you wont be able to just download and install the Chrome OS on your PC like most Linux distros, youl’ll have to buy a Chrome OS device approved by Google.
I am downloading the source code as-I-write and hope to build it on Ubuntu Karmic as this is the recommended platform by Google.
