More than 250,000 people(or 50 by the Times) took to the streets to join the TUC in protests about the Government cuts and higher education policies.

While most of the protests were peaceful, a tiny minority were intent on causing damage and people would be outraged and shocked seeing mindless violence and vandalism perpetuated by these anarchists.
The message from the protests were clear: The Government should stop or at least reduce the magnitude of the cuts being embarked on as majority of the cuts would substantially affect the poorest of the society
The Prime Minister David Cameron should take heed and attempt to address some of the concerns raised by the protesters and not dismiss them as deficit-pretend idealists. The feeling is that it’s going to be a long summer of cuts, protests and more protests and politicians and union leaders alike must make sure to not make matters worse than it already is
